The JRK Southern All Purpose Quick Sunny Mix is designed for sun areas. The perennial ryegrass in this mixture establishes itself quickly, in about 5 - 10 days. The creeping red fescue adds light shade tolerance but requires 50% or more sunlight. After establishment, requires low to medium maintenance. Two or three times a year fertilization is recommended for optimal performance. Integration is desirable in drought conditions. Drought conditions would be extended time frames of 90 plus temperatures without rainfall for months. Add annual ryegrass for quicker germination for soil cover. During drought conditions, water as needed. This JRK mix is perfect for areas where you have a sunny to partial shady area and want quick grass establishment.
Seeding Rates: New Lawns: 5 - 7 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. Overseeding: 4 - 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
